- USB 2 port (Type A)
- A SIM card with an Australia On Line 3G mobile broadband internet plan
- Apple Mac OS X 10.3.7 or newer.
Modem Components
- USB interface
- SIM/USIM card slot
- Indicator light
- SD card slot
- Optional external antenna connection
Installing the SIM card
- Remove the end-cap from the USB modem.
- Remove the SIM card slot located above the USB connector.
- Insert the SIM card into the card slot.
- Return the card slot to the USB modem.
Installing the USB modem
- Turn your computer on.
- Wait until OS X has completely loaded.
- Plug the modem into your computer:
- After you plug the modem or cable into your computer, the computer will automatically detect the new device.
- Detecting the USB modem might take several minutes while the driver software installs.
- Do not attempt to open or start the installation of the modem as doing so might damage the modem.
- After the USB modem is detected, double-click
Wireless Broadband.app

to install the Wireless Broadband.
- Click
Continue
past the Welcome screen.
- Read the license agreement.
- Click
Agree
to agree to the license agreement and continue.
- Click
Macintosh HD

to choose the common install destination.
- Click
Install
to continue past the Easy Install screen.
- Type your password in and click
OK
to authenticate.
- The wireless broadband software will then setup on your computer.
- Click
Close
when the setup is complete.
- Type your service provider code

to activate.
Connecting to Australia On Line
- In your Applications folder, double-click
Wireless Broadband.app
.
- Click
Connect
on the Wireless Broadband screen.
- Type your password in and click
OK
to authenticate.
- Click
OK
to close the connection successful message.
- You are now connected to the internet.
- When connected, the
Connect
button on the Wireless Broadband window becomes aDisconnect
button. - Disconnection will only occur if:
- the
Disconnect
button on the Wireless Broadband window is clicked - the modem loses signal
- the computer shuts down or "sleep" mode is activated
